The Unity

August 1, 2007 we heard the tragic news
about the Minneapolis
Bridge. All of a sudden the
entire bridge just collapsed at once.
September 18, 2008 the new bridge opened
again.
The disunity of the structure was the
culprit that brought the total collapse of the bridge.
Even today many churches are facing the
disunity and disharmony.
We hear the division in churches
continually.
John
10:10
We have to remember satan's strategy and
to know his plan.
Steal,
kill and destroy – this
is his steps for his plan against the people of God and the Kingdom of the
Lord.
Many times complaints of people and gossips
were correctly judged right and discerned correctly, but it is the decisiveness
from satan if it brings the destruction for the relationship and the division
among Christians.
It means that we have been used for purpose
of satan by satan.
It scares me to be used by satan.
Our Lord Jesus Christ was praying about
the unity for us 2000 years ago.
And this is very serious issue among our
Christians today.
Jesus Prays for His
Disciples – Unity
John 17:11b
Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name—the name you
gave me—so that they may be one as we are one.
Jesus Prays for All
Believers – Unity
John 17:21,23
21 that all of them may be one,
Father, just as You are in Me and I am in You. May they also be in us so that
the world may believe that You have sent Me.
23 I in them and You in Me. May they be brought to complete unity to
let the world know that you sent Me and have loved them even as You have loved
Me.
Why did Jesus pray for us about the unity
2000 years ago?
I. The Vision
Mt 22:34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the
Sadducees, the Pharisees got together.
Mt 22:35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with
this question:
Mt 22:36 “Teacher, which is the greatest
commandment in the Law?”
Mt 22:37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all
your heart and with all your soul and with all your
mind.'
Mt 22:38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
Mt 22:39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as
yourself.'
Mt 22:40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two
commandments.”
A. God's heart
1. The first Great Commandment
Our Father God has a desire to have the
intimate relationship with you.
How much do you have a desire to have the
intimate relationship with Him?
John 17:25
Righteous Father, though the
world does not know You, I know You, and they know that
You have sent Me.
I have made You known to them,
and will continue to make You known in order that the love You have for Me may
be in them and that I Myself may be in them.”
To know Jesus Christ and to make Him known
2. The second Great Commandment
Do we love our neighbors?
We have to start by loving my own family
and relatives.
If we do not start from loving them, then we
are liars and our faith is fake.
How can we love the stranger if we do not
love our blood family?
We might have many right reasons against
our family members, but it will be not excused by the Lord.
We cannot live a double life.
No one sees our life in detail, but the
Lord sees us all the time.
We are spirit being, and we will feel the
spiritual condition even we do not see clearly.
John 17:20
My prayer is not for them alone. I pray
also for those who will believe in me through their message,

This is what the Lord's heart.
God does not want to anyone to be perished
at all.
We had an outreach at Compton City
with Kevin & Dirk yesterday.
I want to thank to Kevin & Dirk to
prepare for the outreach for months.
Dave & Jill with their Children
(Jennie and Julian) and Erin came to the outreach.
Adriana and Scott supplied hot dog
supplies a lot for this outreach.
Someone wanted to know any wonders and
signs during the outreach, and I replied that we had a tremendous miracles were
happened that evening.
I know that what his question was. His
question was about the healing.
My answer was the salvation. Around 40
people gave their life to the Lord after the message through Kevin.
That is the eternal miracles.
Yes, give the praise and honor to the
Lord.
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow in keeping
His promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone
to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
Everyone is waiting for the Lord's coming,
but not yet. And you know why He did not come yet, so we are in the very
important time for the Great Commission now.
To know Jesus Christ and to make Him known
We have to catch the Father's heart for
your life purpose on earth here.
B. God's provision for His Vision
1. The
Gifts of the Holy Spirit - Acts 1:8, I Corinthians 12:-14:
Power: the word of wisdom, the word of
knowledge, faith, healings, miracles, prophecy,
discernment spirits, tongues and interpretation of tongues
Purpose: distributing to each one
individually just as He wills
I
Corinthians 12:11
But one and the same Spirit
works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills.
We have to operate for the mission by the
Holy Spirit
2. The
Fruit of the Holy Spirit
Galatians
5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness,
self-control;
against such things there is no
law.
We have to abide in the Lord and yield to
Him
3. The
Body of Christ (The Church)
Ephesians
4:11-16
1) The
fivefold ministry that He gave
a) Apostles,
b) Prophets,
c) Evangelists,
d) Pastors
e) Teachers,
2) The
purpose of the fivefold ministry
a) For the equipping of the saints for the work of service,
b) To the building up of the body of Christ;
3) The
goal of this purpose through fivefold ministry
a) Attain to the unity of the faith,
b) Attain to the unity of the knowledge of the
Son of God,
c) To a mature man,
d) To the measure of the stature which belongs
to the fullness of Christ.
4) As a
result,
a) No longer to be children (childish),
b) No longer tossed here and there by waves and carried about
By every wind of doctrine,
By the trickery of men,
By craftiness in deceitful scheming;
c) Speaking the truth in love,
d) Grow up in all aspects as
the Body of Christ
The 5 fold ministry – We have to submit to His Will alone.
One Glory
Church is planted in Orange County
for His Purpose alone.
Some one saw the vision for our church – a
big ship for the special purpose
We need the life time commitment to the
Lord.
We need to commit to the local church.
II. One Unity
PSALM 133
1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brothers to dwell together in
unity!
2 It is like the precious oil upon the
head,
Coming down upon the beard,
Even Aaron's beard,
Coming down upon the edge of his
robes.
3 It is like the dew of Hermon
Coming down upon the mountains of Zion;
For there the LORD commanded the blessing— life
forever.
Even Jesus prayed for the unity for His
Disciples and for us 2000 years ago,
because the unity is so important issue
among us.
Jesus would never pray about the unity if
it is not important for us.
So we need to take this unity seriously in
our life.
A. The Meaning
1. Precious oil upon head
Exodus 29:1-9
Symbolizing
spiritual duty for serving the Lord
God consecrates
Aaron to be a priest for His People.
2. Precious oil coming down upon the
beard
Consecration of
his entire face is to see the Lord.
Without this
consecration he cannot do perform his duty as a priest and also he cannot enter
the Holy Holy Place
at all.
3. Precious oil coming down upon the
edge of his robe
The meaning of a
robe is in the Bible:
a robe of
righteousness (Isaiah 61:10), garments of salvation (Isaiah 61:10) garment of
praise (Isaiah 61:3)
Consecration of
his entire body and cloth are to serve the Lord as a priest for His People.
1) As an
individual person,
Every one of us
needs to be consecrated 100% our life for the Lord with the precious oil to
serve the Lord.
2) As a Body of
Christ,
God ordains the
Leader for His Church, gives the direction and pour out His Anointing to the
leader, and this anointing is flow over to the entire body of church to
everyone, so they can have one mind together for the calling and vision.
God gave the
vision and calling to One
Glory Church
that I shared two weeks ago and Just I shared.
Maybe I shared it
with you before too, but I keep sharing this vision, because I want to see you
to catch the vision of Father's heart.
4. Dwell together in unity
To dwell together
in unity is so important.
We need to dwell
in the Father's heart, in His Vision and Calling with Sr. Pastor in local
church as One Glory Church.
The unity is like
the precious anointed oil.
The unity is like
the fresh dew.
The unity
sanctifies God's people.
The unity makes
us richly fruitful.
5. Dew
Micah 5:7
The remnant of Jacob will be in
the midst of many peoples like dew from the LORD,
like showers on the grass,
which do not wait for man or linger for mankind.
Isaiah 45:8
You heavens above, rain down
righteousness; let the clouds shower it down.
Let the earth open wide, let
salvation spring up, let righteousness grow with it;
I, the LORD, have created it.
Like
the rain down righteousness, because the cloud of dew brings the shower down.
The earth open
wide to be soaked.
The salvation
springs up.
The righteousness
grows with it, because the Lord created it, and this
dew produce richly fruitful.
6. Dew of
Hermon
Hermon means the
consecrated place.
This consecrated
place – everyday the dew is dropping from the leaves to the ground
This collecting
due become a creek – river
You cannot see
anything in a drop of dew, and it is just a small drop of water, but this dew is
gathered with other dew, and you can see a creek with small creatures, and then
you can see rivers with many different kinds of fish.
One drop of dew is
nothing and just a drop of water, but the unity of many dews brings the river,
power and life.
Dews are
collected on this mountain and the water of rivers is created from this
mountain and soaks the land of lower ground that is the entire region area as a
natural realm. This mountain is the highest mountain in Israel, and this mountain can be
seen from the Dead Sea.
7. Falling
on Mount Zion
Psalm 2:6 – His
Holy Hill where the place God installed King
Psalm 9:11 – His
sanctuary, His Throne, the center that He rules
Psalm 132:13 –
the seat of His Rule
In
geographically,
The mountains of
Hermon that is the highest mountain in Palestine,
and it located at the north (upper land) over this land and the Mount Zion
(lower land) is located at the south.
Conclusion
Ephesians 5:16
Making the
most of your time, because the days are evil.
We need to understand the time where we
are now and we have to know what our Lord is doing now.
I Peter 5:8-9
Be of sober spirit, be
on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking
someone to devour.
But resist him, firm in your
faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being
accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.
II Chronicles 16:9
For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the
earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.
Isaiah 6:8
Then I heard the voice of the
Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here
am I. Send me!”
