The Cross & the Resurrection (십자가와 부활)

I. The Power of the Cross (십자가의 능력)

Jeremiah 6:14 (렘)

They have healed the brokenness of My People superficially, saying, “Peace, peace,” but there is no peace.

그들이 내 백성의 상처를 심상히 고쳐주며 말하기를 “평강하다, 평강하다” 하나 평강이 없도다

A. The deep inner wounds (우리 안에 있는 깊은 상처들)

Only the cross can heal the deep inner wounds.

(주님의 십자가만이 이 깊은 상처들을 치유할수있다.)

As the Message of the Cross moves further from the center of attention,

we polarize around personalities.

However the Cross is the central message of the church, because it destroys pride, frees from bondage, releases blessing, and brings people together.

Let’s visit to the Cross.

The Cross was the secret to Israel’s healing in the wilderness.

Numbers 21:6-9 (민수기)

6 The LORD sent fiery serpents among the people and they bit the people, so that many people of Israel died.

   여호와께서 불뱀들을 백성 중에 보내어 백성을 물게 하시므로 이스라엘 백성 중에 죽은 자가 많은지라

7 So the people came to Moses and said, “We have sinned, because we have spoken against the LORD and you; intercede with the LORD, that He may remove the serpents from us.” And Moses interceded for the people.

   백성이 모세에게 이르러 가로되 우리가 여호와와 당신을 향하여 원망하므로 범죄하였사오니 여호와께 기도하여 이 뱀들을 우리에게서 떠나게 하소서 모세가 백성을 위하여 기도하매

8 Then the LORD said to Moses, “ Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a standard; and it shall come about, that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, he will live.”

    여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 불뱀을 만들어 장대 위에 달라 물린 자마다 그것을 보면 살리라

9 And Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on the standard; and it came about, that if a serpent bit any man, when he looked to the bronze serpent, he lived.

    모세가 놋뱀을 만들어 장대 위에 다니 뱀에게 물린 자마다 놋뱀을 쳐다본즉 살더라

B. The Wounds of Christ (그리스도의 상처들)

1. His Brows (예수님의 눈) – Peace (평강)

Jesus took my cares, worries, and anxieties upon Himself and gave me peace.

예수님께서 나의 걱정들, 염려들, 근심들을 직접 담당하셨고, 또 나에게 평강을 주셨다.

2. His Back (예수님의 등) – Healing (치유)

I peter (벧전) 2:24

    “By His Wounds you were healed.”

     저가 채찍에 맞음으로 너희는 나음을 얻었나니

Isaiah (사) 52:14

His Appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any man and His Form marred beyond human likeness.

이왕에는 그 얼굴이 타인보다 상하였고 그 모양이 인생 보다 상하였으므로 무리가 그를 보고 놀랐거니와

Jesus bore my pain and agony, so I could be healed in every  dimension of life.

예수님께서 나의 모든고통과 고뇌를 짊어 지셔서 나의 모든 삶의 영역에 치유를 받게 되었다.

3. His Hands (예수님의 손) – Forgiveness (죄사함)

Colossians (골) 2:14

having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which

was hostile to us; and He has taken it out  of the way, having nailed it to the cross.

우리를 거스리고 우리를 대적하는 의문에 쓴 증서를 도말하시고 제하여 버리사 십자가에 못 박으시고

3. His Hands (예수님의 손) – Forgiveness (죄사함)

The debt, the promissory note, that arrest warrant are all marked canceled when I received Jesus’ forgiveness.

내가 예수님의 죄 용서함을 받는 그 순간 나의 삶을 지배했던 나의 죄에 대한 모든 파멸의 계약들이 파기 되었다.

4. His Feet (예수님의 발) – Victory (승리)

Colossians (골) 2:15

And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the Cross

정사와 권세를 벗어버려 밝히 드러내시고 십자가로 승리하셨느니라      

Joshua (수) 10:16-28

16 Now these five kings had fled and hidden themselves in the cave at Makkedah.

17 It was told Joshua, saying, “The five kings have been found hidden in the cave at Makkedah.”

18 Joshua said, “Roll large stones against the mouth of the cave, and assign men by it to guard them,

19 but do not stay there yourselves; pursue your enemies and attack them in the rear. Do not allow them to enter their cities, for the LORD your God has delivered them into your hand.”

20 It came about when Joshua and the sons of Israel had finished slaying them with a very great slaughter, until they were destroyed, and the survivors who remained of them had entered the fortified cities,

21 that all the people returned to the camp to Joshua at Makkedah in peace. No one uttered a word against any of the sons of Israel.

22 Then Joshua said, “Open the mouth of the cave and bring these five kings out to me from the cave.”

23 They did so, and brought these five kings out to him from the cave: the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, and the king of Eglon.

24 When they brought these kings out to Joshua, Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said to the chiefs of the men of war who had gone with him, “Come near, put your feet on the necks of these kings.” So they came near and put their feet on their necks.

25 Joshua then said to them, “ Do not fear or be dismayed! Be strong and courageous, for thus the LORD will do to all your enemies with whom you fight.”

26 So afterward Joshua struck them and put them to death, and he hanged them on five trees; and they hung on the trees until evening.

27 It came about at sunset that Joshua gave a command, and they took them down from the trees and threw them into the cave where they had hidden themselves, and put large stones over the mouth of the cave, to this very day.

28 Now Joshua captured Makkedah on that day, and struck it and its king with the edge of the sword; he utterly destroyed it and every person who was in it. He left no survivor. Thus he did to the king of Makkedah just as he had done to the king of Jericho.

4. His Feet (예수님의 발) – Victory (승리)

By His Death on the Cross, Jesus put my weakness, fear, and defeat under His Feet.

예수님께서 십자가위에서 나를 위하여 죽으심으로 말미암아 나의 연약함과 두려움과 패배를 예수님 발 아래 복종케하셨다.

5. His Head (예수님의 머리) – Blessing(축복)

Genesis (창) 3:18

Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you;

땅이 네게 가시덤불과 엉겅퀴를 낼 것이라 너의 먹을 것은 밭의 채소인즉

Philippians (빌) 4:19

And my God will supply all your needs according to His Riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

나의 하나님이 그리스도 예수 안에서 영광 가운데 그 풍성한대로 너희 모든 쓸 것을 채우시리라

6. His Side (예수님의 옆구리) – Inner Healing (내적 치유)

The inner wounds and heartbreak of my experiences and circumstances are healed as I release bitterness and experience forgiveness.

나의 경험과 환경으로 인한 내적 상처들과 비탄함은 내가 그 비통함을 포기함으로 치유를 받게 되고 또한 죄 용서함을 경험하게된다.

C. Conclusion

1. Exchange (전환의 삶)

I Samuel (삼상) 22:2

Everyone who was in distress, and everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was discontented gathered to him; and he became captain over them. Now there were about four hundred men with him.

He came to him and bandaged up his wounds, pouring oil and wine on them; and he put him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn and took care of him.

II. The Power of the Resurrection (부활의 능력)

A. For Christians (하나님 자녀들에게)

  1. Restoration from the deadly hopeless  극한 절망으로부터의 회복

John (요) 20:29

n  Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”

n  예수께서 가라사대 너는 나를 본 고로 믿느냐 보지못하고 믿는 자들은 복되도다 하시니라

  2. Restoration from the deadly failure  극한 실패로부터의 회복

John (요) 21:17

n  He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him, “ Tend My sheep.

n  세번째 가라사대 요한의 아들 시몬아 네가 나를 사랑하느냐 하시니 주께서 세번째 네가 나를 사랑하느냐 하시므로 베드로가 근심하여 가로되 주여 모든 것을 아시오매 내가 주를 사랑하는 줄을 주께서 아시나이다 예수께서 가라사대 내 양을 먹이라

  3. Restoration from the deadly insecure  극한 불안정으로부터의 회복

John (요) 21:22

n  Jesus said to him, “If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow Me!”

n  예수께서 가라사대 내가 올 때까지 그를 머물게 하고자 할찌라도 네게 무슨 상관이냐 너는 나를 따르라 하시더라

B. For the lost (비 그리스도인들에게)

  1. Security of the eternal Salvation  영원한 구원의 기회

Romans (롬) 1:16

n  For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

n  내가 복음을 부끄러워하지 아니하노니 이 복음은 모든 믿는 자에게 구원을 주시는 하나님의 능력이 됨이라 첫째는 유대인에게요 또한 헬라인에게로다

  2. Security of the eternal Life  영생의 기회

John (요) 11:25

n  Jesus said to her, “ I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies,

n  예수께서 가라사대 나는 부활이요 생명이니 나를 믿는 자는 죽어도 살겠고

  3. Security of the eternal forgiveness  영원한 죄 사함의 기회

Romans (롬) 8:1

n  Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

n  그러므로 이제 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 자에게는 결코 정죄함이 없나니

  4. Security of the Children of God  하나님의 자녀가 되는 기회

John (요) 1:12

n  But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name

n  영접하는 자 곧 그 이름을 믿는 자들에게는 하나님의 자녀가 되는 권세를 주셨으니
