Let us go over to the other side

Mark 4:35-41

35 On that day, when evening came, He *said to them, ¡°Let us go over to the other side.¡±

36 Leaving the crowd, they *took Him along with them in the boat, just as He was; and other boats were with Him.

37 And there *arose a fierce gale of wind, and the waves were breaking over the boat so much that the boat was already filling up.

38 Jesus Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they *woke Him and *said to Him, ¡°Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?¡±

39 And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, ¡°Hush (quiet), be still.¡± And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm.

40 And He said to them, ¡°Why are you afraid? How is it that you have no faith?¡±

41 They became very much afraid and said to one another, ¡°Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?¡±

 

He has Special Plans for us

John 10:10

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly

 

John 15:16

You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.

 

I. Let¡¯s go over to the other side.

While Ministering in Galilee, He had gone to the other side of this lake by boat in numerous times. There were always some new and different levels of shifting at each and every time He has gone to the other side of lake.

 

He had always taken His Disciples wherever He had gone.

   

Mark 4:35-41 records His first time that He has gone to the other side of the lake Galilee.

 

Jesus was in the boat with His Disciples, and He preached messages to the crowd with parables. That evening He told His Disciples to move to the other side of the lake.

 

We are on the way to the other side. We are leaving the past ministry, and we are going to the other side for the new ministry that God called us to do. We are leaving the old ministry and old members behind us, and going toward the other side that God prepared for the new ministry.

 

We are leaving the people who are confused do not have the clear vision of the Lord. I am going with the saints who are with me having the same vision and even the people who are willing to be but their vision are not clear.

 

When I was 4 or 5 years old, my father had a plan to take me to the capital city of Korea, Seoul. I was living in a very small city on a country side. I do not remember much about the times when I was 4 or 5 years old, but I remember clearly about my father¡¯s plan and what happened in my life.

 

My eyes was wide open with wonder because of so many cars, high-rise buildings, so many people, streetcars with high voltage electricity and so many lights at night. It was amazing, because I have never seen these big city things in my home town.

 

And I realized that there are so many different things exist than what I knew. My father did not take me to the capital city just to show me all the wonderful things, but his plan was way beyond that, it was for my future, so that is why they sacrificed their lives to raise me with higher education as far as they could. I really thank my father and mother with my best honor.

 

Our Father God has very special plan for our life like as my parents did for me.

Jesus Christ our Lord did for His Disciples during His Ministry on earth.

I do not know how you understand and accept these 4 books of the Gospel.

To me these 4 gospel books are how Jesus trained His Disciples.

He was committed in training and equipping His Disciples for His Kingdom through 3 years of His example life. He poured all His Life out to them for the world.

 

1. Availability & Submissive heart

Jesus asked them to go to the other side in the evening.

It is not easy to go to the other side at night time by boat. They might not have wanted to go to the other side by boat. They must be tired since they stayed in the boat with Jesus all day. The Disciples may not have known about what Jesus plan was, but they have followed the Lord availing them to Him all the time.

 

It is very important to be available to the Lord at all times no matter what seasons you are in. So please do not quit or give it up, and continually do what you are doing faithfully. Then you will see the Glory of the Lord sooner or later.

 

I do not want to lose the chance at all.

 

2. Facing the difficulties

   1) There arose a fierce gale of wind,

   2) The waves were breaking over the boat so much

   3) The boat was already filling up.

 

Several weeks ago I had a communion with the Lord, God spoke to me that the time is coming to breakthrough and overcome. As the Lord said, ¡°the difficult time is coming here and there, so just prepare your heart against the wind and the wave.¡±

It means that we are going to face some degree of the difficulties; also we need to be equipped through the breakthrough.

 

On the way to the other side, we are going to face the new wind and the new wave that is threatening our direction here and there.

 

A lot of misunderstanding about the blessing among Christians

Everything will be OK if we follow the Lord, but many cases we face many different kinds of difficulties that we do not expect.

 

When we face the difficulties, we respond instantly against the difficulties to the Lord. They treat it as a curse, and anger to the Lord or to the spiritual leaders. And some times they leave the ministry or church.

 

Many people believe that the blessing means that there is no problem but the success in general. The difficulties are the real blessings in our life.

 

We will face the suffering with 3 sources.

My Father God, my sin, satan 

 

Psalm 119:71

It is good for me that I was afflicted, that I may learn Your statutes.

 

Romans 8:28-29

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

29

For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren;

 

The other side God always put the higher level for our life.

We are going to face the difficulties when we step forward to this higher level, because satan knows how much we are going to be dangerous against the satan¡¯s kingdom. So he will not take us just sitting back against us any more.

 

Recently I was sitting on the chair and fell asleep; I woke up with a sudden fear. Instantly I knew that satan came to me and did something against me, so I pointed my finger against the devil I screamed and rebuked satan in Jesus¡¯ name.

 

He is not going to be quiet when we move on against him.

 

Martin Luther did against satan to stand on the faith. He had gone through tremendous pressure and danger. Satan worked so hard. The entire world was against him, but he alone was against the giant devil. When he broke through, the freedom came to all the Christians.

 

You might go through some kind of difficulties.

 

My van broke down; however, my mechanic could not find any problems with it at all. Some of you might have some difficult time with your spouse because You come to our church.

Suddenly my dryer started mal-functioning, here and there problems. I had a car problem, my family situation, my mother¡¯s health situation, my houses utility¡¯s malfunction, our church member¡¯s sudden difficult time¡¦

 

Even Carolyn who arranged college facilities for us e-mailed me suddenly.

¡°I really need the April check, or I am not supposed to let you come on Sunday.  Did you mail the check? I'm leaving now and off on Monday, so I'll look for a response on Tuesday when I return. thanks,¡±

The mail took longer than normal mailing time than it used to.

 

We are going to face various kinds of difficulties from the devil. Whatever he has plans against us, but he cannot over the line of the Lord.

Here is God¡¯s line

 

I Corinthians 10:13

No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

 

Higher the level you are the higher devil you will be dealing with.

We will deal with each level of devil continually.

 

3. Jesus is with you in the middle of the difficulties.

   1) Jesus Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion;

 2) They woke Him

 3) They said to Him, ¡°Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?¡±

 4) He got up

 5) He rebuked the wind

 6) He said to the sea, ¡°Hush (quiet), be still.¡±

 7) And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm.

 

John 15:16

Matthew 18:19-20

¡°Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven.

20

¡°For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.¡±

 

4. Jesus expects you to walk with supernatural life

   1) Why are you afraid?

   2) How is it that you have no faith?¡±

 

Jesus expected that His Disciples would do the works He did, also more.

 

John 14:12

Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.

 

Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

 

The Lord wants us to be bold instead of being afraid in all situations.

The Lord wants us to stand against the situation and exercise our faith.

 

We need to stand against the devil even the natural cause of the hindrance.

We need to subdue them and take power over them with the authority of Jesus.

 

We need to against all the winds and the waves that are against us in every area, person and situation in the Name of Jesus.

 

Lord, I am against the wind and the wave that are against our saints and One Glory Church.

 

You have to use the authority that the Lord gave to you over the every hindrance area from the enemy quickly.

We have to be against the evil spirit with the opposite spirit.

 

Some one received the prophetic word from the Lord in 1930

"THERE SHALL COME A BREATH

AND THE BREATH SHALL BRING THE WIND

AND THE WIND SHALL BRING THE RAIN

AND THE RAIN SHALL BRING THE FLOODS

AND FLOODS AND FLOODS

AND THE FLOODS SHALL BRING THE TORRENTS

AND TORRENTS AND TORRENTS.

SO SHALL THEY BE SAVED LIKE FALLING LEAVES FROM THE MIGHTY OAKS SWEPT BY A HURRICANE IN A GREAT FOREST.

ARMS AND LEGS SHALL COME DOWN FROM HEAVEN

AND THERE SHALL BE NO EBB."

 

5. We have to enter into the intimate relationship with the Lord

 1) They became very much afraid

 2) They said to one another, who then is this,

      that even the wind and the sea obey Him?¡±

 

The first step of this area is jump into the word of the Lord.

Do you really put the value of the Word of God?

Then you need to grip the Bible and start to read.

 

The second step is to spend time praying from your spirit. Talk to the Lord whatever you want continually.

 

 

 

II. Jesus¡¯ Triumphant Entry

 

 

Matthew 1:21

She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.

JN 12:12

On the next day the large crowd who had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,

JN 12:13

took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet Him, and began to shout, ¡°Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord, even the King of Israel.¡±

JN 12:14

Jesus, finding a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written,

JN 12:15

¡°Fear not, daughter of Zion; behold, Your King is coming, seated on a donkey¡¯s colt.¡±

JN 12:16

These things His disciples did not understand at the first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of Him, and that they had done these things to Him.

JN 12:17

So the people, who were with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead, continued to testify about Him.

JN 12:18

For this reason also the people went and met Him, because they heard that He had performed this sign.

JN 12:19

So the Pharisees said to one another, ¡°You see that you are not doing any good; look, the world has gone after Him.¡±

 

 

 

1. Who Jesus is.

Palm branches – Victory = The King

Hosanna – Save us = Jesus = The Savior

He who comes in the Name of the Lord = The Messiah

 

Jesus entered Jerusalem as the King, the Messiah and the Savior.

 

2. There were 2 groups among them.

1) Jesus¡¯ Disciples –

     Following Jesus. They kept their faith.

2) to see the King as freedom from Roman Government –

     They joined to kill the Messiah.

 

Jesus Disciples were going through the difficult times during this time and after the resurrection.

 

They kept their faith – their life was supernatural life

Jesus Disciples walk in Jesus¡¯ way with higher level of the anointing of their life.

We will see this supernatural life during our time.

 

3. Jesus Himself

Jesus entered as a King, but His purpose was lot different than what others expected. He came here to save us (Hosanna) as the Messiah and the King for entire world. He had to go through the difficulty times to save the entire world.

So He had to go through the Passion Week for every single cost to pour out all His life with full of His blood.

 

Without this Passion Week His highest level would not be fulfilled at all.

The Resurrection

 

Conclusion

 

Deuteronomy 32:11

10 ¡°He found him in a desert land, And in the howling waste of a wilderness;

He encircled him, He cared for him, He guarded him as the pupil of His eye.

11 ¡°Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, That hovers over its young,

He spread His wings and caught them, He carried them on His pinions.

12 ¡°The LORD alone guided him, And there was no foreign god with him.

 

God trained Israel people for 40 years in the wilderness.

The purpose of the life in the wilderness was to raise the new generation of conquerors.

The old generation of slavery mind was buried in the wilderness for 40 years.

Young Christians needs to grow up in Christ continually.

I have been in church more than 50 years, because my mother is born again Christian when I was born, and she led me to the Lord from my early age. And I dedicated my life to the Lord because of His Calling in 1971.

God has led me until today in His Way since 1971.

Almost 40 years God led and equipped me through the wilderness.

Everyone in here, God led you and equipped you, and He will continually lead you coming months and years.

 

You need to grow up with humble heart if you are a young in Christ.

You need to please the Lord with His Heart if you are a mature in Christ.
